Lawro Predicts - Latics v Hull City

Former Liverpool defender and current Match of the Day pundit Mark 'Lawro` Lawrenson has done his weekly round of predictions for the BBC and he is predicting that the game between Wigan Athletic an Hull City at the DW Stadium on Monday will end in a home win for the Latics, lets see what his reasons are:

Wigan v Hull


This could have been a monster game for both clubs but with how things have turned out, it's been tough for Hull - and it has been for 18 months now.

I know George Boateng made a big deal the other day about what happened in the Manchester City game last season and how that caused all the problems, but you don't need to say that - why didn't he say it at the time?

Hull have got nothing to play for as they are all but relegated, and Wigan may be looking at dismantling their side. Hugo Rodallega and Maynor Figueroa may leave Wigan but manager Roberto Martinez will be better for this season, he's had a real learning experience.

Prediction: 2-1, and possibly not the biggest crowd of the day.

Why the need for the snide remark about the crowd I don`t know, mind you it makes a change from his usual remark about the Latics and which team will turn up, he`s used that line all season, anyway I digress, I feel that we will play with a bit of freedom, Hull will also be open and that will suit us so I am going for a 3-1 Latics win to sign off the season at home in style.
