Martinez Calls For One Final Party

Wigan Athletic face Hull City on Monday in the last home game of the season and Latics boss Roberto Martinez is calling for the clubs fans to get behind the team and make lots of noise in what will hopefully be a carnival experience.

There will be one or two of the players making their last appearance at the DW Stadium in a Latics kit, Paul Scharner and Mario Melchiot are both out of contract at the end of the current campaign and are both strongly rumoured to be set to leave following good service to the club.

Speaking on Thursday to myself and three other fan site editors Roberto Martinez said that he hopes the ground will be buzzing and the players learn what it really means to play for Wigan Athletic

Martinez said: 'The environment that you the supporters have created at the DW Stadium throughout the campaign has played a massive role in helping the players.

'On Monday we must replicate that atmosphere with a smile and a huge feeling of pride to celebrate our campaign with a good performance.

'Lets make it a party atmosphere and finish at home on a high'
