Ben Watson Man of the Match

Wigan Athletic midfield man Ben Watson has been voted Latics man of the match for his performance in last weeks defeat to West Ham down at Upton Park.

The former Crystal Palace star is finishing the season off in style for the Latics and in his last two games he has had a direct hand in four of the goals that the Latics have scored including one for himself, his set piece delivery has brought a new dimension to games and its good to see him get a run in the side.

For the record the voting was:

Ben Watson - 48%
James McCarthy - 17%
Charles N`Zogbia - 13%

Interestingly the forwards and a winger got the most votes. We were a tad unlucky and had we been a better at defending and goal keeping, wed have got a draw from this game at least. Wigan had more possession and were potentially more dangerous.
