Titus' Shirt To Help in Good Cause

Titus' Shirt To Help in Good Cause

Earlier this year, on Mothers Day, Jamie Perry, 28, from Ipswich sadly passed away whilst playing for his Sunday league football team, Trojans FC. Jamie leaves behind his wife and two young daughters, aged 4 and 2.

Such is the tragedy of the situation, his team mates organised a charity event in a bid to raise money to help Jamie's family. The team was able to gather together many donated prizes, which were used as raffle prizes.

A Wigan Athletic match day shirt which was actually worn in the Latics historic 1-0 victory over Liverpool at the DW Stadium earlier this season is one of those prizes. Kindly donated by local favourite and friend to a few of the players at Trojans FC, Titus Bramble, the shirt was won at a raffle and immediately gifted back to the team to 'auction off and try to raise more money for Jamie's daughters". All the proceeds from the sale of this shirt will go directly to Jamie's family.

The auction can be accessed at ebay and there is no reserve.

The shirt has been signed by the current Latics squad including Titus Bramble and Hugo Rodallega who scored the only goal of the game.

A good item that is supporting a good cause. Best wishes to Jo and the girls at this sad time from all at Vital Wigan.

Wigan 1-2 Bradford Match Report

Latics dropped to a deserved 1-2 defeat at the hands of Bradford, our first loss at home in the league since March. It was an off-day, defence looked shaky from the off and once Nick Powell went off injured, we never really threatened to score. We are back at the DW on Tuesday against Doncaster Rovers, an opportunity to get back on track.

Paul Cook named an unchanged side from our last league game, with Michael Jacobs returning to the starting line-up.
