Lawro Predicts - Chelsea v Latics

Former Liverpool defender and current Match of the Day pundit Mark 'Lawro` Lawrenson has done his weekly round of predictions for the BBC for the final time this season and he is predicting that the game between Chelsea and Wigan Athletic at Stamford Bridge on Sunnday will end in a home win for Chelsea, lets see what his reasons are:

Chelsea v Wigan

Everyone knows just what is at stake for Chelsea and I just don't see there being even a remote chance they will slip up and blow the title.

Wigan will offer resistance but they are a strange team. One day they are very, very good and the next day they are average. They may have beaten Chelsea earlier in the season but I think this game might be over at half-time.

Prediction: 4-0

Aha no surprises there then Lawro, unfortunately for us I feel we are playing the best side in the league who will be in determined mood not to slip up, if we can keep Chelsea out for the first 30 minutes then they may start to become edgy but in reality I think it could well be like the Alamo, so I am going for 3-1 Chelsea win though I really would like us to finish the season on a high with a win.

Roll on next season

I'm not overly happy with everyone in the country handing the trophy to us already and simply waiting for us to formally take it. THe game will be tough on sunday, we showed against cesspool that we don't always start brightly and we were lucky to break them down. I want a win, on paper it looks like a win and everyone is predicting a win. Its only a win once that whistle goes and until then its anyone's game.
