Birmingham Show Interest In Latics Man

Birmingham Show Interest In Latics Man

Reports coming out of the midlands are suggesting that Birmingham City are considering renewing their interest in Wigan Athletic attacking midfield man and current Player of the Season Charles N`Zogbia.

Blues boss Alex McLeish is said to be keen to take the Frenchman to St. Andrews and enquiries were made in January about N`Zogbia`s availability but the £10 million price tag put off a bid at that time.

N`Zogbia joined the Latics in January 2009 in a £6 million deal from Newcastle United and he has been an outstanding success since his arrival culminating in him being voted both the fans and the players player of the season for 2009/10.

It is understood that the Latics wouldn`t stand in the way of any player moving on to a big club especially if the deal was right for Wigan Athletic in a financial and footballing sense, the stumbling block here though would be that Birmingham isn`t a big club.
