Charles N'Zogbia Bid Knocked Back

Wigan Athletic have rejected the £8 million bid made by Birmingham City for player of the season Charles N`Zogbia.

The players agent Franck Peslerbe says that although Alex McLeish has put in the offer the Latics have turned it down and Peslerbe also says that there are other Premier League clubs showing an interest in the 23 year old Frenchman.

Latics are known to value N`Zogbia between £10 - £15 million so it looks like Birmingham are way off in their attempts to prise Charlie away from the DW Stadium, speaking to the media Peslerbe said: 'Birmingham have made a bid for Charles and Wigan have turned it down.

'There are also some other English sides apart from Birmingham interested in Charles.

'Charles is currently away on holidays but I am in discussions with Wigan.

'Everything depends on Wigan and if they accept a bid then things can go forward.

'If it was a good solution for Wigan and a good project for Charles then something might happen

'Wigan have a figure they expect for Charles and we will see if anyone meets that.'

Good that we are being stubborn about the fee, we absolutely must get a good value for him if he's to go.
