Nelson Valdez Latest Link to the Latics
According to reports Wigan Athletic are taking an interest in Borussia Dortmund and Paraguay forward Nelson Valdez.
The 26 year old striker joined Dortmund from Werder Bremen in 2006 where he had spent five seasons making 113 appearances and scoring 31 goals for the Bundesliga club, in his time with current employers he has made 112 appearances scoring just 16 goals.
Valdez has Champions League experience with Werder Bremen and he has also made 42 international appearances for Paraguay scoring 8 times.

I think he's more of a playmaker off a main striker from what I've been reading. Never stops running, gets back to tackle and defend etc etc Dortmund were

every player that come to Wigan from abroad always seem to flop. they always have a good reputation e.g. Stojkovic, Gomez, de ridder, kapo. whenever they play for Wigan we never see it
