Wigan Athletic Make Offer For Argentina Star

Wigan Athletic are believed to have opened negotiations to sign Argentina striker Mauro Boselli who currently plays for Estudiantes in the Argentine Premier Division.

The 24 year old has a fantastic record at club level with 32 goals in just 57 appearances in the past two seasons since joining Estudiantes from Boca Juniors, Latics chief scout Kevin Reeves has watched Boselli play twice this past week and he has been impressed.

The Latics offer is a reported £6 million but there may be a slight hitch as it is understood that Boca still own 50% of the players contract.
