Latics Set To Seal Two Spanish Deals

Wigan Athletic are very close to making a double Spanish swoop with a £2.6 million bid accepted for striker Adrian Colunga and close to agreeing a fee with Malaga for 21 year old midfield man Daniel Toribio

Latics boss Roberto Martinez has been chasing Colunga for sometime now but though it is understood that everything has been agreed Colunga himself wants to wait to see if Seville are prepared to match the terms and fee on offer.

Toribio is a young defensive midfield player and he has been described as the Spanish Lee Cattermole, strong in the tackle yet able to play a bit also, he started his career off at Barcelona but moved to Malaga without making an appearance

This season saw the 21 year old make his La Liga debut and he went to make 21 appearances as Malaga hung on to their top flight status
