Boselli Could Be At Wigan By Next Week

Wigan Athletic could have a deal in place to secure the signature of Argentine striker Mauro Boselli by next week according to the players British representative Barry McIntosh

McIntosh has confirmed that the Latics have made an offer for the much sort after player and negotiations are at an advanced stage, there are over clubs interested but it appears that Boselli could well be heading for the DW Stadium

Speaking to Sky Sports McIntosh said: 'It is true that Wigan are now pressing ahead with their interest and are bidding close to the $10million (6.9m) that Estudiantes are ideally looking for.

'Birmingham have always liked him, as have other clubs in the Premier League, but things are progressing now and I can see something being done as early as next week.'

A possible stumbling block though is that Boca Juniors own 50% of Boselli and apparently they fancy him staying in Argentina, we will see.

Sounds like a complicated transfer wrangle with two clubs owning Boselli
