Latics To Finally Get Rid Of Waste Of Space

Latics To Finally Get Rid Of Waste Of Space

Wigan Athletic are hopefully set to cut their losses and dump what is quite possibly the biggest drain the club has ever had, Jason Koumas, into the Championship with his old mates Cardiff City showing an interest in the 30 year old waste of space.

Koumas joined the Latics for £5.5 million and a big fat salary back in July 2007. 3 years, 54 games, 2 goals and three managers later the club has finally realised that they need shut of one of the laziest players ever to wear a Latics shirt.

Koumas has a year left on his deal at the DW Stadium but Cardiff boss Dave Jones is sniffing around the player who surprisingly enough was a success during a loan spell at Cardiff in 2005/06 when he somehow managed 44 games and 12 goals for the Bluebirds.

With Cardiff missing out on promotion in the play-off final defeat to Blackpool they face the prospect of losing key players such as Joe Ledley and Peter Whittingham and Jones sees Koumas as the man to step into the breach, good luck with that then

If Koumas needs a lift down to Cardiff for his medical or to discuss terms I understand that there are about 18,000 people queuing outside the DW Stadium willing to take him there themselves.

Please God let this be true

A poor signing when all said and done though he showed glimpses of what he can do - but not anywhere near what was expected. A disappointment.

If he goes to Cardiff, then it's be the first favour Martinez has given to Swansea... LOL - That said, with a winding-up order on the horizon (16/6) for cardiff, who says they could ever afford him, so don't celebrate just yet.
