Latics New Boy Makes Plane For South Africa

Wigan Athletic new boy Antolin Alcaraz has made the 23 man squad for Paraguay`s World Cup assault surviving the cull with Paraguay coach Gerardo Martino naming his official 23 yesterday (Sunday).

Alcaraz hasn`t yet played for the Latics of course, he only completed his move from Belgium club FC Bruges two weeks ago, but his involvement in South Africa will give us all an extra incentive to follow another nation should England not fair too well.

Our new boy joins two other Premier League players, Sunderland defender Paulo da Silva and Manchester City striker Roque Santa Cruz in the Paraguay squad.
