'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Chimbonda Agent Unhappy

Pascal Chimbonda's agent is unhappy that the move to Tottenham Hotspur is being blocked by Wigan Athletic.

The French international right-back has handed in a transfer request at Wigan Athletic and is wanted by Spurs manager Martin Jol.

Agent Roger Boli said: 'I don't understand the attitude of Wigan,

'We had an agreement that he could go for 1.5million. This was what we agreed when Pascal signed a new deal.

'Now Tottenham are offering 4.2million and Wigan want 6.3million - for a player that cost them around 550,000. It's not normal.

'Pascal wants to go to Tottenham. I hope that Wigan will not complicate things.'

why are wigan doing that?

Is he really the right back we want/need??? I think he was good last year, but not too sure if i want a player who would rather play for Man U.
Oh Sol, wherever...
he is better than stalteri and kelly, so i would say we need him
elmo85
He is better than Stalteri and Kelly is still improving, but this deal is dragging on a bit now....

I won't be too disappointed if we don't get Chimbonda. I'd like to see Lee given a chance at right back, which is his best position anyway, with either Stalteri or Kelly providing cover and competition. I'd be more disappointed if we don't get Bridge and Barry.

I think 4.2 mill is more than a fair offer. Especially for an arrogant frenchman.

I think Wigan are gunna struggle next year. No bullard, Soon no Chimbonda, and every player you go in for rejects you. Oh dear...

I think Wigan might just be getting a bit greedy

they have a rich chairman so they should be ok
green giant 12
Will he be so rich if they find them selfs going down? I dont think so

I think he's burnt his bridges with the last day of season request, but i do wonder how much of that wa down to the agent? They really are a bunch of parasites who care for no-one but themselves. Shoot the lot of em i say !!

I agree he shouldn't be let go cheap but 6.3 Million. This is the real world not Fantasy football league.
