Latics Working To Finalise Deals

Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez has refused to confirm or deny that the club have an offer for Argentina striker Mauro Boselli on the table to the two clubs that own his registration Estudiantes and Boca Juniors.

Speaking to the press Martinez did though say that over the next few weeks the Latics will hopefully be bringing in a few new players and that they are working to finalise those deals.

He said: "At the moment, everything is still up in the air with that one (Boselli)"

"It is true he is a player we have been following for a long time, but I can`t confirm anything regarding an offer."

"Over the next few weeks we hope to finalise a few things with the players we have been trying to get

"Mauro is one of a number of names that will come out because we have been following a lot of players."

I am glad he is keeping his cards close to his chest. All too often other clubs take advantage of our scouts hard work.
