Wigan In For Emile Heskey?

Reports in various papers today are linking Wigan Athletic with Birmingham City and former England striker Emile Heskey.

A report in the Sun suggests we will bid £3million for the big centre forward after missing out on Andrew Johnson despite a £8.5million bid.

The report also says that we might consider selling Jason Roberts.

Emile Heskey scored just four goals for the Blues last year which must have helped contribute to their relegation. Do we really need a 'striker' who can't even make it into double figures?

Blackburn have also been linked to a £3.5million bid. I hope they are successful!

It would be crazy for you to think of siging Heskey and getting rid of Roberts.

Heskey is terrible. I cant imagine any premiership club wanting him

I think Heskey is a good striker, he has just lost his way at Birmingham, There was a time at Brum when he was so hot on form they were talked of putting him back in the England squad, ten he got injured, and came back the next seaon to a team that were going to get relagated. With the right coach Heskey can be a great stiker again!

I 4-1 hope you are correct. So long as he doesn't come to Pompey, i'll be happy, lol.

Heskey wunt do what Roberts does for you and score goals. He was a same as him when he was on form.I think he end up back in the preinership.

£5M? Birmingham are really over-reacting for a premiership 4-goal striker!
