Wigan Athletic Linked With N'Guemo Move

Wigan Athletic along with Stoke and Birmingham are being linked with a move for Nancy midfield man Landry N'Guemo after Celtic refused to meet the French clubs £2million valuation of the player who spent last season on loan at Parkhead.

The Cameroon international is currently in South Africa for the World Cup so nothing is likely to be sorted out for a few weeks yet but Nancy sporting director Nicolas Holveck claims there are English Premier League clubs interested in N`Guemo and that he wont be going to Celtic after they would only go to £1.2million for the 24 year old.

Holveck said: 'We spoke to Celtic at the start of the week regarding N`Guemo and, following that discussion, I now believe he won't be joining them next season

'There is quite a difference in opinion over our valuation of the player and theirs and because there is other interest from England I would expect him to move elsewhere.

'We have been having discussions with English sides regarding Landry for more than a week now, but there is no panic over his sale.'

We like our midfield men!!!

We need more people in the middle, all we have are watson, mccarhy, Diame, and Thomas and I'd like McCarthy to be up the pitch a bit more..

im more concerned at the report of N'Zogbia being in talks with Brum. The renewal of my season ticket depends on the ability to hold on to the better players. Every season we seem to be starting with too many newcomers who are unfairly expected to blend as a team. The fixture list suggests we could be in trouble after the first half a dozen games. What we dont need is to find ourselves playing catch up before August is ended. N'Zogbia got us a few goals last term and played a really important role in keeping us up. If he goes we could face the frightening proposition of relying on Jason Scotland to get us some goals, unless of coures Roberto finds a goal machine in S Africa. Hope I dont have to forfiet my seat in the west stand.
