Maynor Figueroa Set For Liverpool?

Wigan Athletic left back Maynor Figueroa has got a new admirer in new Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson who, according to the Daily Mail, is keen to make the Honduras international one of his first signings has he tries to reshape Liverpool once more into a club capable of challenging for honours.

Figueroa is also coveted by ex-Latics boss Steve Bruce who made several offers for the highly rated 26 year old over the last season, most of which were considered derisory by Roberto Martinez.

Following Honduras` departure from the World Cup in the group stages Figueroa returned home for a holiday and he is only expected back at the Latics the week after next so it is likely that nothing will be done for at least a fortnight should the talented defender be set to leave the DW Stadium for pastures new.
