Figueroa Fancied By Stoke City

Wigan Athletic defender Maynor Figueroa is a target for Stoke City according to the Mirror with the Potters set to offer 7 million for the Honduras left back and challenge Liverpool for his signature.

Figueroa of course has been chased for almost a year now by ex-Latics boss Steve Bruce who would love to take him to Sunderland but it looks like deals between The Stadium of Light and the DW Stadium will be put on hold for the foreseeable future with the acrimony surrounding Steve Bruce and Roberto Martinez and also John Benson and Martinez with the Latics boss casting that particular demon aside a few weeks ago.

So Stoke fancy Figueroa but if the left back is to leave the Latics then the pulling power of Liverpool and the chance to work with highly regarded manager Roy Hodgson just might be the deciding factor in Figgy`s mind, we`ll see.

Weird link: he's under 6'3 don't see how he could fit into Stoke's gameplan at all.
