Record Season Ticket Sales

Wigan Athletic season ticket sales have reached new record levels with over 10,000 tickets sold in a matter of weeks.

Last year 12,000 season tickets were sold before the start of the season with a further 2,000 half/part season tickets sold during the season.

Dave Whelan told the official site: 'It's absolutely fantastic news that we've smashed through the 10,000 mark so early on. There are still eleven weeks of sales to go and the ticket office is reporting brisk trade on a daily basis.'

'Last season saw massive strides off the pitch in terms of attracting new support to Wigan Athletic and it's important not just to hold on to those new fans, but to make the next step and attract even more. This club is one of the fastest growing sporting organisations anywhere in the world over the past decade and we don't intend to take a step back; progress is everything at Wigan Athletic.'

'We made the decision to reward our fans for their amazing support last season by keeping season ticket prices as low as possible. If they have a look at what other clubs charge I think they'll agree we are very fair here at Wigan Athletic.'

Fantastic !! Well deserved. How long before you can actually outdo the rugby club for attendances?
