Merlin on Trial at The Latics
Wigan Athletic are giving a trial to much travelled French midfield man Laurent Merlin who featured in last nights 1-1 draw with league 1 side Oldham Athletic.
The 25 year old started his career off with Marseille making just 2 appearances before doing the rounds including a stint in the USA with Chivas.

Last season Merlin was weaving his magic with French 3rd division club Cassis Camoux whom he left at the end of the campaign following their relegation.
Reports suggest he did alright at Oldham
