Mauro Boselli Settling in Just Fine

Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez says he is thrilled that new signing Mauro Boselli is settling in well at the club, both on and off the field.

The Argentine forward featured in last nights 1-1 draw against Oldham, coming on as a substitute at the start of the second half and making an immediate impact when he linked up superbly with Jordi Gomez who was sent crashing to the floor giving the Latics a penalty which resulted in the equalising goal.

Boselli was in great form for the rest of the game, looking very sharp and he crashed an effort off the bar when he spun and shot inside the Oldham box, he is looking the real deal and appears to be comfortable around his new team mates.

Off the pitch Martinez reports that the 25 year old has settled very well which is an added bonus and bodes well for the coming season, speaking about Boselli to the clubs official website Martinez said: 'Mauro is a very clever player which everybody saw against Oldham'

'He's always on the last man looking to make that final move and using his intelligence to make the right decisions.

'Off the pitch he's become very settled at the club which is a fantastic plus and we're all very excited that he's brining something completely different to the team that we've never had before.'
