Titus Bramble - One Foot In The Algarve

Wigan Athletic today confirmed that defender Titus Bramble has joined Sunderland for an undisclosed fee with the 28 year old completing a medical at the North East club and agreeing terms with the Black Cats and teaming up with former-manager Steve Bruce.

The move brings an end to Bramble`s three-years at the club, where he made 94 league appearances, scoring five goals.

Latics manager Roberto Martinez said: "Sometimes you have to make financial decisions for the good of the club and allow the squad to develop and get stronger.

"Everyone here wishes Titus all the best for the future because he has been a magnificent servant to Wigan Athletic in his time here."

Bramble speaking about his departure said: "I want to thank everyone at Wigan because I have really enjoyed my time there.

"The fans have been brilliant to me and to win the Player of The Year Award from both the supporters and my fellow pros is something I will never forget."

The big defender jetted out to join up with the rest of the Sunderland squad at their training camp in the Algarve though he will be unable to join in physical stuff due to still recovering from a foot operation

Good luck from all at Vital Titus

PS can we have our trophy back please.

Good luck Titus, some good memories, especially the tackle on Walcott at the DW last season that almost out him into the car park!!!! Oh and the goal at Anfield, what a cracker that was
