Kirkland Fit To Make Austria Trip
Wigan Athletic goalkeeper Chris Kirkland has recovered from his injury scare and made the trip with the rest of the Latics first team squad to their week long Austrian training camp in the Gaital Alps.
Kirkland pulled up in training a couple of weeks ago and the injury kept him out of the Latics 5 day trip to Sweden and the games with both Ostersunds and Oldham and led directly to the recruiting of Ali Al-Habsi on a season long loan from Premier League rivals and neighbours Bolton Wanderers.
The Latics number one shot stopper will be hoping the trip and intense training regime sees no recurrence of his back problems with the seasons big kick-off just three weeks away.
