Humberto Suazo in Latics Sights

Wigan Athletic are being heavily linked once again with a move for Chile international Humberto Suazo following on from reports earlier this week that the Latics had made a £7 million bid to his Mexican club Monterrey

It is being reported on Sky Sports News that the 29 year old wants to come to the Latics and show his worth in the Premier League

It is claimed that Latics boss Roberto Martinez is set to make the offer for Suazo who he wants to bring in as a direct replacement for Hugo Rodallega following speculation that the Colombian striker could be set to move from the DW Stadium with a number of clubs showing interest.

The Latics have been linked with Suazo previously but he moved to Real Zaragoza in January initially on loan with a 10 million euro option already agreed between the Spanish and Mexican clubs, with Zaragoza not taking this option the door is open for the Latics to step in.

The 29 year old striker scored 6 goals for Zaragoza in 17 games and he looked a handful when representing Chile in this summer`s World Cup finals in South Africa
