FC Twente Announce Stam Signs For The Latics


FC Twente official website have announced that they have sold full back Ronnie Stam to Wigan Athletic

The site states that Stam has joined the Latics on a three year contract after 57 appearances for the Dutch Champions, no word yet from the Wigan Athletic official website

FC Twente President Joop Munsterman said: "Ronnie having spent the past two seasons at FC Twente has the chance to further develop as a footballer.

"He has seized that chance with both hands".

"Ronnie indicated that he wanted to make the step to a foreign league.

"Wigan Athletic were prepared to pay the fee that we wanted".
