Vitesse Arnhem At The JJB

Vitesse Arnhem At The JJB

Wigan Athletic will play their final pre-season friendly at home against Vitesse Arnhem on Saturday the 12th of August with a 3:00 pm kick-off. Ticket prices have not been announced yet.

Vitesse Arnhem finished 11th in the top Dutch league last season which, for them, is a poor result because they usually qualify for a UEFA Cup place at the very least.

The rest of the pre-season fixtures for the next season are as follows.

There will be a training camp in Austria where the Latics will play a match on the 25th of July and another against Utrecht on the 27 of July.

On the return to England they will play away matches against Barnsley on the 1st of August, Southport on the 2nd and Halifax on the 5th.

The team will then fly to Norway to play Paul Scharner`s old team, Brann Bergen, on the 9th of August before returning for the Vitesse Arnhem match on the 12th.

The Premiership season starts again on the 19th of August, the fixtures are released on the 22nd of June.
