N'Zogbia Too Expensive For Birmingham

Wigan Athletic appear to have priced Premier League rivals Birmingham City out of any deal to take Charles N`Zogbia from the Latics to St. Andrews with Alex McLeish admitting defeat on his efforts to land the Frenchman.

Birmingham have declared their interest in the 24 year old by making a bid thought to be around 8 million but both Latics boss Roberto Martinez and owner Dave Whelan realise that N`Zogbia`s true valuation is much higher than that.

With Juventus and Marseille also showing interest the Latics look likely to stick to their 10 million plus valuation that they have put on the player.

Speaking to Sky Sports Alex McLeish said: 'That one looks as if it is dead at the moment. I'm not saying totally dead, but it looks like a difficult one, given the asking prices. Whether we can go to that level I'm not so sure, so maybe that's for another day."

Better off staying put Charlie

Not sure he will, worbo. Would be great to keep him until January and Rodallega. Plus if we get Suazo as well... that's an attack to savour! Our defence is getting shored up but we need a goal scoring midfielder though.
