An Evening With Paul Jewell

An Evening With Paul Jewell

Former Wigan Athletic manager Paul Jewell is possibly the clubs best ever manager, he certainly achieved more than any other Latics manager making him the most successful.

Jewell guided the club from the third tier of English football to the very top and put in an appearance in the Carling Cup final along the way, but it wasn`t just about what he did, it was also about the way he did it.

The chirpy scouser full of one-liners who has a sense of humour that would do a stand-up comic proud didn`t have everything his own way at the Latics though, it all started quite difficult with player wrangling and he almost had a mutiny on his hands.

Jewell though pulled the club through, made some very astute signings, Nathan Ellington, Jimmy Bullard, Matt Jackson etc and took us all to the Promised Land.

On the 17th September (Friday) at Haigh Hall, Wigan, there will be an evening with Paul Jewell, it should be a fantastic event for all Latics fans, the evening consists of a four course meal and costs £26 per person, I`ll be there if anyone else fancies it the details are below:

Haigh Hall Special Events - An Evening With Paul Jewell

An exclusive evening with former Wigan Athletic manager Paul Jewell.

Malcolm Lord will host the event asking Paul about his time at Wigan Athletic and how he guided the team through to the top flight of English football.

This is a unique opportunity to hear Paul talk about the highs and lows with lots of amusing anecdotes with a question and answer session.
