Jason Koumas Leaves For Cardiff

Wigan Athletic supporters could have finally seen the back of Wales international Jason Koumas as the former Tranmere Rovers and West Brom player heads off to Championship club Cardiff City on a season long loan deal and with just one year of his contract at the DW Stadium remaining it appears that the Latics have got shut of one of the worst signings ever made by the club.

Koumas arrived in the summer of 2007 at a cost of £5.5 million from West Brom and he appears to have stagnated in the corridors of the club ever since making just 54 appearances in 3 years, a cost of 101,000 per game, he has netted just 2 goals for the Latics in that time, a total waste of money.

Cardiff boss Dave Jones has taken Koumas back to Wales, he spent a year on loan at Cardiff in the 2005/06 season, incredibly making 44 appearances for the Bluebirds and he scored 12 goals in a productive campaign.

Not so for the Latics and its goodbye and good riddance to the player who most Wigan Athletic fans rate has the clubs worst ever signing

I'll drive you down if you want Jase, as long as you promise never to come back. Complete waste of an undoubted talent.
