Olivier Kapo Leaves Wigan Athletic - Official

Wigan Athletic continue to clear the decks at the DW Stadium and following Jason Koumas` departure for Cardiff City on a season long loan the Latics other enigma Olivier Kapo has had his contracted terminated by mutual consent.

The France international has looked to find a way out of the club from almost the moment he arrived speaking to the press on numerous occasions saying how unhappy he was at the Latics, really endearing himself to the fans.

Following his 3 million move from Birmingham City in July 2008 the 29 year old made just 22 league appearances and was a big disappointment for someone who is obviously a talented footballer.

The Latics have released the following statement on the clubs official website:

'Wigan Athletic can confirm that Olivier Kapo has left the club by mutual consent...

...an agreement was made between the player and the club to bring his Wigan Athletic career to an end.

Nice one Roberto
