What The Bosses Said - Dundee United v Latics

Following the preseason friendly between Wigan Athletic and Dundee United at Tannadice, which ended in a 3-1 win for the Latics both bosses spoke to the press about the game, let`s see what they had to say:

Latics boss Roberto Martinez:

'Overall the exercise was very good, and completely different to the one we faced on Wednesday'

'Our concentration and intensity in defence was a lot better, and when you add the quality finishing we showed, it was very pleasing.

'We looked like a team and, even though we are still in pre-season, that is important and a big positive.

'We have a worrying time now with the international friendlies, and we are just hoping everyone comes back fit and ready to play for us on Saturday.'

'Mauro Boselli works really hard and he is a very clever player.

'Ben Watson also had a big impact on the game in the way he gets other players into the game, and Mauro has that intelligent in his movement that they work well together.

'Whilst Victor Moses did everything including scoring a great goal, and he is a real, real talent.'

Dundee United boss Peter Houston:

"It's not every week we'll play quality like that.

"Wigan were fast, physical and really good on the ball. I hate losing but I'm happy with the way it went.'
