Franco Di Santo Loan Move Back On

Wigan Athletic are reportedly close to bringing Chelsea youngster Franco Di Santo to the DW Stadium on a season long loan.

The Latics were linked with this loan move earlier in the summer and according to the Daily Mirror Martinez is close to getting his man after Bolton, FC Twente and Feyenoord all cooled their interest.

Di Santo spent last season on loan at Blackburn Rovers where he made 21 appearances and scored just the once, but his link up play was excellent and thats what could be attracting Martinez.

The Mirror also reports that the 21 year olds agent has flown into the UK from Argentina to help negotiate the loan move.

Wigan 1-2 Bradford Match Report

Latics dropped to a deserved 1-2 defeat at the hands of Bradford, our first loss at home in the league since March. It was an off-day, defence looked shaky from the off and once Nick Powell went off injured, we never really threatened to score. We are back at the DW on Tuesday against Doncaster Rovers, an opportunity to get back on track.

Paul Cook named an unchanged side from our last league game, with Michael Jacobs returning to the starting line-up.
