Charles N'Zogbia Set To Prove His Worth

Wigan Athletic are set to unleash want away star Charles N`Zogbia against Chelsea on Saturday with a simple message to the France international, `prove yourself here and then the big move will come`

N`Zogbia was left out of the seasons opener against Blackpool with what Latics boss Roberto Martinez described the 24 year old as `not being mentally right` after returning from international duty

Now following a lengthy chat with club chairman Dave Whelan, Martinez and N`Zogbia`s agent the flying wing man is set for a return to the starting eleven this week after impressing in training.

Speaking to the press about N`Zogbia Martinez said: 'Mentally and physically, Charles has to be right to help the team. But he has been back to himself in training this week and when he does that, he remains a special player for us.'

So N`Zogbia will be in the team to face Chelsea and he has a mission to be sensational and play his way to a transfer to a big club with big ambitions, for surely a sulking French man isn`t an attractive proposition for any of Europes top clubs.

Martinez says on selling N`Zogbia: 'The situation with him is the same as with any other player.

'If a club comes in with an offer that matches our valuation - and the player wants to move - then he will be allowed to go.

'But, until then, Charles remains a Wigan Athletic player, and it is a partnership that has worked really well.

'It's important for the fans to know that he will be staying unless a team matches his valuation in the market.

'That has always been the case - which is why the recent talk has been so over the top.'
