Birmingham Improve Offer For Charles N'Zogbia

Birmingham Improve Offer For Charles N'Zogbia

It`s being widely reported that Birmingham City have returned to Wigan Athletic with an improved offer for Charles N`Zogbia with the Birmingham Mail claiming this has been confirmed by Alex McLeish.

Birmingham had an £8 million bid turned down by the Latics last month with chairman Dave Whelan insisting that it would take at least £10 million to force the club to sell their prize asset and now it appears that McLeish has launched another bid to try and secure a move for the 24 year old France international.

N`Zogbia has made no secret that he would like to try his hand at a club with big ambitions, the only question here is do Birmingham fit into that category especially with Marseille, Fiorentina and Juventus also reportedly interested

With just under a week left of the current transfer window if N`Zogbia is set to leave the DW Stadium then negotiations will need to be starting soon.

If he goes at the right price, good luck to him. I'm sure the physical, abrasive, high n long ball game at Birmingham will suit his style!

Well if he is not happy here then he should go but he must remember the grass isn't always greener and he should always remember the so called 'big' clubs such as NEWCASTLE. Which he wanted to move away from.

For some reason Charles isn't happy at Wigan. Maybe it's Martinez, I'm not sure, but the fans love him and he knows that. I think he gets well paid around the 40K mark) which is ridiculous, and I'm sure it's income tax paid as well so it's can't be the money aspect. Birmingham are not a big club. Never have been never will be. I do think Charles should remember what the club has done for him, rather than and try to appreciate that. He was really in the doll drums at Newcastle and going no where. It does scream out another case of player power, which much change in my opinion, and these players should honour contracts of be made to pay legally. If it were the other way around and the club wanted him out, they couldn't and would have to pay his wages, no matter what. Good luck to Charles if he goes though I think it's a big mistake. He'd sit well at UTD, or another bigger club, but Birmingham.... Not really a good move Charlie.
