Charles N'Zogbia Bid Accepted

Sky Sports are reporting that Wigan Athletic have accepted a bid from Birmingham City for Charles N`Zogbia, either Birmingham returned with an improved offer or the last one wasn`t that far off as we were led to believe.

According to Sky, N'Zogbia is at St Andrews undergoing a medical and the stumbling block was over £500,000 with the Latics wanting £9 million for the France international

This as now been confirmed by the Latics:

Wigan Athletic can confirm that they have accepted a much improved offer from Birmingham City for France winger Charles N`Zogbia, which has now met the club`s valuation.

The player has now been given permission to speak with Birmingham.

No doubt it will all become unclear with the clubs reporting that the fee will remain undisclosed, lets hope that there are players lined up as replacements.

Its just a pity we never seem able to hold on to our better players. Like him or loathe him, he was the one player on the books who could change a game.

This.will really encourage fans to come along! Especially when we spend 1 or 2 million on an unknown replacement from the spanish/honduran/ columbian 2nd division. If we weren't doomed before, we are more so now.

If he brings anyone in it will be someone one loan and/or a free out of contract player. All the decent players have been snapped up.
