Ali Al-Habsi To Make Wigan Athletic Move Permanent
Wigan Athletic are set to make the loan deal for Omani international goalkeeper, Ali Al-Habsi a permanent move according to the Times.
The Bolton Wanderers shotstopper is on a season long loan and has so far featured in 50% of the games that the Latics have played this season, replacing Chris Kirkland for the last two matches against Hartlepool and Spurs and keeping two clean sheets in the process compared with Kirkland conceding ten in his two.
It has been reported that Martinez had approached his Bolton counter-part Owen Coyle with a, `how much do you want for Ali` poser but it was also reported that the Latics thought the £3 million Coyle asked for was a little steep.
Following two fine performances especially the one against Spurs, maybe Martinez has had a change of heart and feels that £3 million for the 28 year old with 70 international caps isn`t such a high price after all
