Tom Cleverley Joins on Season Long Loan


Wigan Athletic have signed Manchester United exciting young midfield man Tom Cleverley on loan for the rest of the season

Cleverley, who is currently away with the England under 21 international squad was sort after by both Bolton and Newcastle but Latics boss Roberto Martinez managed to beat the competition to get the youngster in at the Latics for the next 9 months.

Speaking about Cleverley Martinez said: "Tom is a very exciting young player and we are delighted he his coming to us.

"He can play in a number of positions and will provide us with some good new options, and add great competition to the squad.

"We have been watching him for some time and feel he is the right sort of player to join our squad; young, hungry, desperate to play for the club in the Premier League and to grow with us."
