Martinez Admits N'Zogbia Could Face Sunderland

Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez says that wingman Charles N`Zogbia is in the frame to get a recall to the starting eleven has the Latics prepare to face Sunderland in the Premier League tomorrow.

It`s no secret that the France international was after a move away from the club during the last transfer window and it looked like he had played his last game for the Latics when he was left out of the squad that beat Spurs at White Hart Lane, N`Zogbia, it appeared, was close to agreeing terms somewhere with at least four clubs reportedly chasing his signature.

The transfer never came off, a variety of reasons have been put forward but what is certain is that N`Zogbia remains a Wigan Athletic player for the next 3 ˝ months at least, so the question now is does he reclaim his place in the starting eleven for the Sunderland game?

Martinez said that N`Zogbia would need to build trust up with the rest of the squad before being allowed back in by them, also he was deputised by Ronnie Stam who more than compensated for his absence against Spurs, Stam had a blinder.

Now it appears that with most of the squad away on international duty N`Zogbia has had his chance to build some bridges, Martinez reveals that he is delighted by his attitude, thus opening the door on a return for the little Frenchman

When asked by the press if N`Zogbia was in his thoughts for a starting place against Sunderland Martinez replied: "He is, but not just because I'm saying it. It is the way he has been working in the last five (training) sessions.

'I have been delighted with Charles' attitude. He looks focused and concentrated.

'He made the final decision to stay (at the Latics) - it wasn't imposed on him at all"

We shall see, personally I wouldn`t make any changes from the side that won at Spurs unless forced to through injury or suspension.

I cant see how he could come in, you'd have to leave out either Stam or Boycey and they both played exceptionally well at Spurs

Yeah, but it was very defensive squad. Today we need to attack more, because we play at DW
