What The Bosses Say - Latics 1-1 Sunderland Video

Following the 1-1 draw between Wigan Athletic and Sunderland at the DW Stadium both bosses talked to the press lets see what they had to say:

Latics boss Roberto Martinez

'We weren't as sharp as we normally are with our ball possession, and the sending-off really made things difficult for us'

'Sunderland started to think all they had to was get organised and try not to concede, and we were the ones taking the risks to win the game.

'I am pleased about that, but to go 1-0 down gave us a big mountain to climb.

'But I was delighted with the responsibility we took as a team and we managed to find the solutions to get back in the game.

'We created a couple of good opportunities before the goal, and for me it was a completely different performance to the one at Spurs, but a very good reaction by us.

'We had to help each other today and we worked extremely hard as a team. If we carry on like that I am sure the results will come.'

Sunderland boss Steve Bruce

'If someone had said when Lee Cattermole got sent off that we could take a point, we would have.

'I've got no complaints about the sending off. Lee's got a terrific attitude, but he has to learn that once you've got a yellow card, you can't afford to take a risk.

'The one piece of magic we produced in the game led to a goal, and it's a shame we couldn't hold on.

'Gyan was only here with us on Friday, but we've made huge changes to the side and we need time now.'
