Alcaraz Disappointed With Latics Draw

Wigan Athletic stand-in skipper Antolin Alcaraz says that the squad are disappointed with only claiming one point from Saturdays game with Sunderland.

Alcaraz, who scored the equalising goal on 84 minutes, says that the Latics need to work on their concentration after allowing Asamoah Gyan to score with Sunderlands only real chance of the game.

Alcaraz says: "We are disappointed with only winning a point"

"Everyone could see we were in total control of the game. But in football, when you don`t score, it`s difficult to win many matches.

"It would have been nice to keep a clean sheet, I can`t believe they scored with their only opportunity of the whole game.

"We need to spend a bit more time this week working on keeping our concentration for the full 90 minutes.

"It`s important to look at the positives, though. We did many good things in the game and we showed great team spirit to get back into it."

"I`m enjoying my time at Wigan and I feel I`ve really settled in here"

"Of course we`d like to win every game, especially at home, but we try to play good football and the results will come.

"Three points would have been nice, and I`m just sorry we couldn`t do it for our supporters because they were magnificent all the way through."

Good to be disappointed, we deserved the three points

He sumed it up really. They had once chance and scored. The great thing is we looked a better footballing side, and if Sunderland think they are good, then we are Great by comparision :)
