Antolin Alcaraz Man of the Match v Sunderland

Wigan Athletic stand-in skipper, Antolin Alcaraz has been voted the Vital Wigan man of the match for the Latics in last Saturdays home draw against Sunderland.

The Paraguay international defender had a superb game at the heart of the Latics defence, calm and assured both defending and carrying the ball forward. Alcaraz also scored the equaliser in the 86th minute, stooping low to get his head on a Tom Cleverley shot and direct the ball into the net.

For the record the voting was:

Antolin Alcaraz - 39%
Ronnie Stam - 20%
Franco Di Santo -18%

The new poll is available on the right side of this page and its asking who will win Sundays game between the Latics and Man City, to vote simply access the poll, select your option and hit the submit button, it`s that easy.
