Lawro Predicts - Latics v Manchester City

Former Liverpool defender and current Match of the Day pundit Mark 'Lawro` Lawrenson has done his weekly round of predictions for the BBC and he is predicting that this Sunday`s game between Wigan Athletic and Manchester City at the DW Stadium will end in an away win for the City, let`s see what his reasons are:

Wigan v Man City

Manchester City need to win this game. They lost at Sunderland, drew at Blackburn and the pressure will mount on manager Roberto Mancini very quickly and questions will be asked such as 'what's his best team'? and 'how's the atmosphere in the dressing room?'.

An away win at Wigan will just about take the pressure off.

Wigan have showed in patches this season that they have a few good things going for them, but whether it's enough to avoid relegation, I'm not so sure.

Prediction: 0-2

Come on Lawro, City never beat us at home plus they aren`t playing with any great cohesion and the Latics are much better than what we have been given credit for, I am going for a 1-0 home win with Mauro Boselli to get off the mark with the games only goal.

1-0 Latics. Lets get behind Mauro, to stick that one in the back of the City net.

i doubt if lawrenson has ever seen wigan play at the dw,so he doesnt know what he is talking about.just another pundit who thinks wigan is going to get relegated.

going behind in the last 3 home games, on two occassions to average teams and letting in 11 goals is hardly going to scare anyone.
arthur7171
they are not trying to scare anyone, they are a new team learning to play together.arthur 7171 you are being like the rest of the critics banging on about the bad results and ignoring the good results.i .e spurs and sunderland.
