Franco Di Santo 50/50 For Wolves Clash

Wigan Athletic striker Franco Di Santo has been rated as 50/50 by Latics manager Roberto Martinez ahead of Saturdays clash with Wolves.

The young forward was the subject of a heavy two footed challenge from Birmingham midfield man Craig Gardner in last weekends Premier League clash, the challenge saw Gardner sent off and Di Santo carried off with what looked like a nasty ankle injury.

Following scans and intensive treatment during the week it appears that the injury isn`t as bad as first feared and Di Santo was originally feared to be facing a few weeks on the sideline he is now rated at 50/50 to make this weeks fixture.

Speaking to the Latics official website Martinez said that Franco Di Santo is a very fit young man and considering that there is no ligament damage he has a chance to be ready for the weekend.

suspect you'll be right. when it's like this you prefer to give the extra rest if possible, but are prepared to use them if need be.
