Lawro Predicts - Latics v Wolves

Former Liverpool defender and current Match of the Day pundit Mark 'Lawro` Lawrenson has done his weekly round of predictions for the BBC and he is predicting that the game between Wigan Athletic and Wolverhampton Wanderers at the DW Stadium will end in a home win for the Latics, let`s see what his reasons are:

Wigan v Wolves

Neither of these two teams have enjoyed the best start this season but Wolves, for one, are not a bad side at all. They are certainly competitive but the trouble is they don't score many goals - a fact underlined by last week's loss to Aston Villa when they probably deserved more.

Not scoring enough goals is something that can often change against Wigan... but I don't think so this weekend.

Bearing in mind the Latics' draw and clean sheet against Birmingham last week - which came on the back of a home win over Preston in the Carling Cup - I just fancy the hosts in this one.

Prediction: 2-1

Makes a change Lawro picking the Latics to get all three points, I am going to agree with him this week, 2-1 to the Latics for me as well.
