Ali Al-Habsi - September Player of the Month

Ali Al-Habsi has been voted Wigan Athletic player of the month for September following a string of solid displays that are turning the Oman international into a firm crowd favourite.

Al-Habsi, on loan from Bolton, kept clean sheets in his first two games for the Latics and has been assured, confident and an integral part of the team since.

Following his inclusion in the starting line-up the Latics have won 4 drawn 2 and lost just once, a complete turnaround in form, not surprising then that Vital Latics members voted him the Player of the Month for September.

For the record the voting was:

Ali Al-Habsi - 67%
Antolin Alcaraz - 10%
James McCarthy - 8%
