Bueno May Be Good, But He Wont Becoming To Wigan

Wigan Athletic will not be signing Derby County forward Alberto Bueno in the January transfer window despite speculation to the contrary.

Bueno, who`s surname is Spanish for good, is on a season long loan at Pride Park from Real Valladolid and Rams boss Nigel Clough is adamant that the 22 year old former Real Madrid player will be staying for the full length of that deal.

Speaking to the Derbyshire Telegraph Clough says that there is no release clause in his Bueno`s deal and that is that.

Derby boss Nigel Clough said: 'Alberto has signed on a season-long loan for us - that is the agreement'

'He is here for the season.

'Alberto is instrumental to the way we are playing'

There are reports that Latics chief scout Kevin Reeves has watched Bueno play on a few occasions but with Martinez keeping tabs on over 200 potential new signings it isn`t really surprising that the 22 year old striker`s progress is being monitored
