Latics Set to Give Fans the Finger

Latics Set to Give Fans the Finger

Wigan Athletic fans will be able to collect a free gift at tomorrows game with Bolton, courtesy of the Latics and club sponsors 188BET, a foam finger, wow.

With local rivals Bolton also sponsored by 188BET the gesture is somewhat expected after last seasons flag days when the two sides met, back then there were flags in the clubs colours handed out to fans attending the games.

Latics boss Roberto Martinez is pleased that the initiative will help generate a great atmosphere, Martinez said: 'It's another great initiative from the Club and our sponsors 188BET.

'As the Flag Day did last season, I expect that the handing out of the foam fingers will help to generate a great environment for the team and I would encourage all fans to collect one when they arrive at the DW Stadium for the game.'

The FREE FOAM FINGERS will be handed out to Latics fans at several distribution points around the stadium.

Distributions points will be at:-

• The Club Shop
• The South-East Corner Bridge
• The Supporters Club Bar
• Junior Stripes Matchday Club
• All Hospitality Lounges
• Programme Booths & Betting Kiosks in the stadium

Get your foam finger and get that atmosphere bouncing

Wigan 1-2 Bradford Match Report

Latics dropped to a deserved 1-2 defeat at the hands of Bradford, our first loss at home in the league since March. It was an off-day, defence looked shaky from the off and once Nick Powell went off injured, we never really threatened to score. We are back at the DW on Tuesday against Doncaster Rovers, an opportunity to get back on track.

Paul Cook named an unchanged side from our last league game, with Michael Jacobs returning to the starting line-up.
