Boyce Facing Up To Three Weeks Out

Wigan Athletic defender Emmerson Boyce looks set to miss three weeks of action due to a hamstring injury that he picked up in Saturdays derby draw with Bolton.

Boycey was replaced on 52 minutes of the game when he pulled up after challenging Bolton striker Johan Elmander. Ronnie Stam who replaced Boyce looks set to fill in at right back for the next few games at least.

Speaking about Boycey Latics boss Roberto Martinez said: "Emmerson Boyce pulled his hamstring, but I feel he controlled the injury before it could have been a lot worse.

"Hopefully the final results will not be too damaging but we're looking at about two weeks before he is able to play."
