What The Bosses Say - Roberto and Brendans Love In

Wigan Athletic play Swansea City at the DW Stadium tonight in the Carling Cup 4th round and in the build up to the game both bosses, Latics Roberto Martinez and Swans Brendan Rodgers have had a bit of a love in, take a look at what I mean:

Latics boss Roberto Martinez:

'You cannot control the reaction. I am sure there is going to be a lot of emotions, but that is a good thing in football, that there are no indifferent feelings.

'That football club has come a long way in the last three seasons.

'It is just a matter of having stability and solid foundations because the fanbase, the stadium, the history and everything is ready to be in the Premier League.

'I don't like to speak about games in terms of managers - I believe games are about players.

'But on Tuesday there are probably too many strong links between the two clubs.

'My attachment to Swansea, not just as a manager but as a player and captain through very important periods of the club's history, that is always going to have great memories.

'In that respect I am sure it is going to be a little bit different but once the first ball is kicked, it is about the players.'

Swans boss Brendan Rodgers:

'The Swansea fans have never ceased to amaze me from the very first day I arrived at the Liberty Stadium. They are fantastic.

'I know the Roberto factor has added even more spice to the game, but for me it's just a chance to play a Premier League side and get into the next round.

'Roberto had a good two and a half years here and our ideas and philosophy on how we see the game is very similar.

'Sometimes when you lose a manager you love it's difficult for the fans to take. But he's a good guy and I know he loved his time here. We still exchange messages and look out for each other.

'He will always be respected here and I'm looking forward to seeing him again.''

Hmm very sweet, lets see what`s happening around 10 minutes to eight tonight
